Join us for “Befriending Gravity,” an evening session where we’ll delve into the the fundamentals of Qigong, a meditative movement practice rooted in Daoist philosophy.
We will practice key exercises that balance strength and flexibility while deepening our awareness for the natural flow of energy in our body following the Daoist ideals of naturalness, authenticity and presence. We will explore some core principles, such as Qi (felt sense of your body’s energy), wu wei (effortless action), the balance and separation of yin and yang, the three dantians (energy centres in the body), peng (buoyancy), and song (releasing tension).
Through applying and embodying these principles this session will help you befriend gravity as a source of healing, learning to align with its flow. Whether you are new to Qigong or seeking to deepen your understanding, this event offers a supportive space to explore your connection to your posture and energy flow. I am delighted to share these practices with you as they have taught me so much about myself and helped me restore my health after various sports injuries.
This will be the kick-off event to weekly Qigong classes on Thursdays from 8-9am at Imago Space beginning on the 26th of September.
Tickets are 15€. If you cannot afford the ticket price but still want to come, contact me via the contact form and tell me how much you are able to pay.
Please arrive at least five minutes early so that we can begin on time. To get to Imago Space, go through the gate into the first courtyard, take the door on the right, go to the first floor and ring the bell.
